UK GAAP
UK GAAP is the UK’s version of the Generally Accepted Accounting Practise, a body of accounting standards and guidances published by the UK’s Financial Reporting Council. The latest version of this reporting framework was published on January 1st, 2015.
The goal of the standards is to decrease the disparity in disclosures that companies submit for an apples to apples comparison of financials between entities. Thus, UK GAAP includes rules and calculations that companies must follow when reporting financial information.
